See how Goldsmith Alliance membership could pay for itself
Goldsmith Alliance is a UK network for independent accountancy practices, from sole practitioners to multi-partner firms. For most members, membership returns more than it costs in the first year.
You don’t need to use every service or make lots of referrals. Savings on two or three services you already pay for, plus a handful of suitable client introductions, is usually enough.
Save on services you already buy
Free or discounted access to services most practices pay for anyway, including a technical helpline, cyber security reviews, PII benchmarking, HR support, CPD and AI training.
Earn from client introductions
Introduce clients to vetted partners for work outside your core service, such as estate planning, incorporation, lending and financial advice, and receive a referral payment or fee share. You keep the client relationship.
Net gain in the first year for our example firm, after the membership fee, rising to £5,850 a year as its introductions build up.
Founder rate: £250 a month
For your first 12 months if you join by 31 December 2026 (£300 a month from 1 January 2027). Fees exclude VAT.

Frequently asked questions
How does Goldsmith Alliance membership pay for itself?
Membership pays for itself in two ways. First, members get free or discounted access to services many practices already buy, such as a technical helpline, cyber security, PII reviews, HR support and CPD. Second, members can earn referral income by introducing clients to vetted partners for work such as estate planning, incorporation, lending and financial advice.
Who is Goldsmith Alliance for?
Goldsmith Alliance is a UK membership network for independent accountancy practices that want the buying power, partner network and support of a larger firm while keeping their independence.
How much does membership cost?
Firms that join by 31 December 2026 become Founder Members and pay £250 a month (£3,000 a year) for their first 12 months. Standard membership is £300 a month (£3,600 a year) for firms joining from 1 January 2027. All fees exclude VAT.
Are the figures in the ROI calculator guaranteed?
No. All figures are illustrative. Actual savings and income depend on the services you use, each partner's current terms, client suitability and consent, and successful completion of the work.
Can accountants accept referral fees under ICAEW and ACCA rules?
Yes, provided you get client consent and disclose any referral fee or commission in line with your professional body's rules. We provide template disclosure wording as part of onboarding. Introductions for financial advice are made to an FCA-authorised firm; you introduce the client and do not give the advice yourself.
